I got a rescue 1year old male Dalmatian when I was 5. He passed when I was 18. He was a rescue from the highway and was a bit scared of kids. I managed to establish myself as the Alpha intuitively as a teenager, a thing that my parents didn't manage to do even with the Dalmatian female they later got: she caused all kinds of damage to shoes & was hawling with every phone call! I still have it in me ;-) Last weekend, visiting my friend in Barcelona, he had an old Lab male and Husky female. My friend was shocked how fast the dominant Husky took a liking to me as she had been very temperamental. I don't specialize in behavioral training though, these are just to show you how much I like dogs, they always feel it back!
