Law student who loves a companion!

Pet care experience

I’ve been around dogs both big & small my whole life! No matter whether they are my dog or they are a friends I always treat them like they are my own. As the youngest in my family with the most free time I took it upon myself to train all of my family dogs ranging from how to walk on a leash, how to ask to go outside, how to give me their paw, how to play fetch, & how to speak. I am working on helping a family friend’s dog overcome its social anxiety. I have been an athlete my whole life & regularly go on walks & runs myself so I would love to have a companion alongside me.

Luna had a wonderful day with Isabelle ? She provided updates, photos, and even got luna to eat her food which she normally has a hard time with in an unknown place. Thank you Isabelle!!

I would highly recommend Isabelle to anyone seeking some help with their pets! My yellow lab Suzie loves her, and Isabelle always makes sure to give me updates if needed- as well as follows specific care instructions diligently. Thank you Isabelle!!

Isabelle took care of my extremely anxious and high maintenance goldendoodle, Charlie, for a weekend while we were away. By the end of the weekend, Charlie didn’t want to come home. He had so much fun with Isabelle and he was so well taken care of. It was so reassuring to be able to leave my dog in such good, loving hands and not have to worry about him so that we were able enjoy ourselves. I will never leave Charlie with anyone else nor do I think Charlie will let anyone else but Isabelle watch him in the future!

Hello, Isabelle is wonderful wirh pets. She grew up always having dogs, birds and even a chicken. She took excellent care of our furry dogs! She would take them for walks and play fetch with one of them while the other one sat calmly by her side. She is very meticulous to keep them clean and would bathe them occasionally. She is very warm and friendly, and is great with our pets!

Safety, trust & environment

I’m very cautious when it comes to watching dogs no matter if it is in my home or in their home. I have nothing in my apartment that is accessible for a dog that can become a choking hazard or could cause health problems as I keep everything on top of a tall dresser or locked in a cabinet. When in my home, I think it’s important the dog has a toy or a bed that smells like their own home so that they have one piece of comfort & the environment won’t be so unfamiliar to them. I understand dogs need their time to acclimate to a new environment & I am capable of reading dogs & knowing when they need space or when they need attention. I do not have a yard but I live a block away from Griggs park & other fields & will keep the dog on the leash & follow it wherever they want to go while making sure there are no other dogs off leashes that could potentially come toward them.

Information Isabelle M. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know whether your dog is potty trained & if so what are the usual times they like to go out. Also, how they do around other people/dogs. For example, I am training a dog with social anxiety who when we are on walks immediately begins to panic. So this is important for me to know so I can determine what walk route would work best for them (i.e populated streets or side streets). But also if it does have anxiety, or generally, whether it takes any medications. I would also like to know how they are with their food bowl, do they get upset if you take it away or are they okay with it being removed from them. Are they very vocal, as in do they bark often. Lastly, your dog should be current on their tick & flea medication.

A typical day

I love walking through the Boston Public Garden but my absolute favorite place to walk is along the Charles River. There is a semi-enclosed field I have seen dog walkers take the dogs to & play fetch with them & I would absolutely love to do that! I live close to enclosed sports fields as well & would like a private area away from other dogs to run around in.

Availability

I am currently a law student and spend most of my days studying at home, only commuting to school for 2 hours a day. Taking breaks in between studying has been proven to help retain information better so during my breaks I take the time to go on runs or walks & would love to bring a four legged friend with me. I have an office space at home which is where I do all my studying & I’m okay with squeaky toys & noises while I study.
