While I’m extremely grateful Isabella was able to watch my dog last-minute after my other Rover sitter canceled, I’m extremely disappointed that she fed my dog food that I didn’t authorize. I mentioned to Isabella that Obsidian (my pup) would likely pick at his food the first few days while he gets used to being in a new environment. I also advised that she not feed him any human food/treats and assumed that it was implied nothing outside of what I provided to her, as he has a sensitive stomach. It wasn’t until I picked Obsidian up did her son mention that my pup had been throwing up daily - an indicator that he had eaten something outside of his diet. After reaching out to her, Isabella later mentioned that she fed my dog her dog’s food because he wasn’t eating his. Not once did she communicate to me that something was wrong, despite me reaching out to her for updates. The evening I picked up Obsidian, he was constipated and had horrible diarrhea the next morning. This lack of transparency makes me believe that if anything else critical took place, she would not have informed me. I just happened to find out what happened by chance. I paid a lot of money to feel like I was asking someone for favors to provide updates. I would not use this sitter again 2/5 ⭐️.
