I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like! Some dogs are more challenging to care for and train than others, but I believe with patience, love, and gentle discipline any dog can thrive. My name is Isabel, and my family and I have lived in South Portland (near Lake Oswego) for over 17 years. I know lots of great walking spots and trails for dog-walking! I grew up around dogs and have raised 3 amazing puppies throughout my life (and 2 cats as well!). I have lots of experience walking, feeding, bathing, and playing with dogs of all sizes. I am also comfortable working with injured animals or animals that need medication/ extra attention. I am a fun, kind, gentle, loving person who is passionate about animal care, and I would love to help you take care of your pets! I am a recent college graduate who just moved back home and am searching for my first big job out of school. In the meantime, I have lots of extra time on my hands and very few scheduling conflicts! I am able to offer my services round the clock whenever you need care (morning, afternoon, evening, night— you name it!) I’m comfortable making weekly or daily recurring appointments for you and your pets, or just one-time appointments if you need me to stop by for a quick walk or an overnight sitting. I typically walk my own dogs using a belt-leash, retractable leash, or simple hand-held leash depending on the activity, so I am more than comfortable using whatever equipment you prefer with your dog! I am able to bring my own leash and harness or use yours if your dog has one they are comfortable on. I generally think it’s best practice to walk a dog with a harness (so as not to tug on their necks too much!) but I am flexible with your dogs’ comfortability. I have experience crate-training dogs, giving baths, cleaning up “messes”, and feeding both wet and dry food. I am happy to accommodate whatever needs you and your fur-baby may have!
