Pet care experience
I have always loved taking care of dogs. I grew up with dogs and cats and would always volunteer my time at the local animal shelters and wildlife centers. I worked as a veterinary assistant in Boone, North Carolina while I attended Appalachian State University prior to receiving my bachelors in Biology and moving to Charlottesville. I currently work as a Surgical Veterinary Assistant at Virginia Veterinary Specialists and am in the process of applying to veterinary school. I am comfortable caring for senior dogs and puppies. I have experience administering oral and injectable medications.

I have a big yard (unfenced) in town but my neighborhood is very dog walk friendly. I have one incredibly sweet and playful 3 year old Norwegian Elkhound who loves everyone and everything. I go on lots of hikes and make it a priority it to keep my dog exercised and happy and I would do the same with yours :)

A typical day
I love going on hikes or just wandering around my neighborhood with my dog! I am happy to take your dog on runs for exercise if you would like! I’ll make sure your dog feels loved and gets lots of attention!

I currently work Monday-Thursday at VVS and have Friday-Sunday free to care for your pets! On the weekends I am able to be with your pet 24/7 and take them on as many walks and hikes as they desire.
