Pet care experience
When I moved to NYC last April, I really missed the family dog I grew up with. Because things were still too new for me to (responsibly) adopt a dog of my own, I decided dog-sitting would be a good compromise. It ended up being so rewarding - and so many others need help with their dogs - that I've decided to do it indefinitely. I work from home so I'm always on-hand to meet your dogs' immediate needs (rowdy tug-of-war sessions, leisurely strolls down quiet side streets, jogs around the park, or Netflix & chill sessions on the sofa). I live in a 600 sq. ft. one-bedroom apartment in Upper Manhattan/Harlem. A popular online apartment-finding website gives my neighborhood a "walkability" score of 97/100 (to quote the site, I live in a "Walker's Paradise"… Coolio?). Canine guests are permitted to roam the apartment freely in my rare absence (unless owner prefers/provides a suitable crate). Dogs are encouraged to make themselves at home on their choice of dog beds and/or the sofas and human bed. Specific exercise routines and feeding schedules should be provided by the owner in order to maximize the dog's comfort (routines help keep separation anxiety at bay).
Reviews
good care, dog is happy !
Isaac was great with our nine year old 80lb American bully. She clearly had a fun time and Isaac was great with giving her love, attention, and most importantly her medications. Would use him again
Isaac took such great care of our puppy Paprika! He was incredibly accommodating when she suddenly went into heat several weeks before our trip, which meant we had to reschedule her planned spay surgery until afterwards. I would have completely understood if he had wanted to cancel, but instead he took it in stride, and took extra care of her needs as her seemingly never-ending heat dragged on into our her time with him. We really appreciated all the pictures and text updates, it was obvious that Paprika was in great hands with someone who seemed to genuinely enjoy her, as clingy and demanding as she can be at times. Overall he did an awesome job — we are so grateful to him for welcoming our pup into his home and hope he would consider hosting her again!
Issac did an incredible job. He took great care of my dog and updated me throughout his stay. I would absolutely trust any dog with Issac, and I have Dog Walking experience so I can tell you that Issac has the ability to take great care of any dog. My dog suffers from anxiety, and Issac was able to identify it immediately when he showed symptoms. This is the kind of attention to detail and behavior that makes a great dog sitter. He is also a very relaxed person who is very easy to talk to. I give Isaac a 10 out of 10. I will absolutely be a repeat client.

Information Isaac B. would like to know about your pet
Please communicate your dog's likes (specific treats, favorite activities, etc.) and triggers (other dogs, squirrels, etc.) as well as any fears they may have (elevators, thunder, etc.). It is important to make the drop-off transition as smooth as possible. Dogs sense their owner's anxiety and lengthy goodbyes tend to make them feel more uncertain about their new surroundings (in my experience). With that said, I promise your dog will be kept healthy, happy, and safe in your absence. ?
A typical day
Activities vary depending on the specific needs of each dog. For example, I would not take an elderly French Bulldog on a 3-mile trek nor would I limit a young Boxer to a quick walk around the block. I have experience with senior dogs and am more than happy to provide more frequent potty breaks/minimal exercise, if needed. St. Nicholas Park is a few short blocks away and has many shady paths that are perfect for dog-walking (there is also an enclosed dog run for those who are not averse to dog parks). JAdditionally, Jackie Robinson Park is a 15-minute walk away; I sometimes take more energetic dogs there occasionally to help keep things interesting. All activities will be based on owner input to ensure the health and safety of the dog.
