Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of our family dogs since I was fourteen-years-old. I have walked them, bathed them, fed them, taken them to potty, and given them both lots of love and attention. I am protective of them both, especially since they are shy around bigger dogs. One is blind, the other physically impaired, and I have learned to be keenly aware of the environment and potential dangers. More recently I have gained experience taking care of my father & step mother’s cats at their house. I have learned how to feed them, change their litter box, and even clean up after both of them. As a bonus I love going on walks in the colder season as well!

Isaac has been very attentive and punctual for our Rocky and Tootsie. Walking them and giving them the breaks and attention we have not been able to always do of late. We highly recommend his services for your pets!!

Isaac did an excellent job caring for my two cats while I was away on a trip. He fed them, cleaned their litter boxes and gave them some cuddle time. I really enjoyed the updates and pictures he sent. Knowing they were cared for by someone who genuinely loves animals put me at ease during my trip.

I make sure that they have plenty of space to walk around freely. If I had four legs, I’d want the space to use them all. Our condo is a split-level with plenty of room downstairs and a gate to prevent dogs from going upstairs. We have a fenced-in patio with places to secure a chain or leash. We also have several areas around our condo with grass for any pet to potty, and a lot of great places for walks around our neighborhood. The environment is very safe, and there are plenty of sidewalks and even a Marina beside a wide-open lake with a large picnic area. We live in a dog-friendly neighborhood that provides dog bags provided, and other dogs for the social types to interact with.

I need to know the following about any dog I look after: 1. Your pet must be treated for fleas, and ticks. While I myself will not administer treatment, I must know about their treatment, as I will not accept any pets without proper flea & tick medication. 2. I should know about their behavior, whether your pet has been potty-trained and whether or not they have been trained to not scratch furniture. I can recognize signs for when your pet needs to go outside, though it’s very helpful if I can learn all I can about how they normally behave when they need to be taken outside. We only have one piece of fabric furniture downstairs, and I will be watching them closely anyways, but having a pet that’s trained not to scratch or even stay off furniture is a plus. 3. Anything else you think I should know. When we meet, I want to meet your pet. I want to get to know them like a friend, build trust with them. Anything you can tell me upfront that’s relevant to make our experience together better, will be super helpful, and I’ll be sure to listen and write down any specific information I should know.
A typical day
A typical day with my dogs starts with taking them outside to the grass, feeding them, and taking them for morning walks. When I walk dogs, we usually go around my neighborhood. There are plenty of roads with sidewalks to cover in Aurora Shores, and a beautiful lake! If your dog is the high-energy type, I’d take them to our local Marina where there are open grassy areas, or to the local dog park if they need to run freely. I enjoy throwing a ball, Frisbee, or whichever whatever toy they like most.

I work less than 20 hours per week cooking at a restaurant just around the corner from my neighborhood. When I am not working I am at home creating art for my portfolio, or doing general research, cooking, etc. I have few weekly commitments, and will be upfront about when I am home, as well as when I intend to be away.
