Pet care experience
Animals are my happiness. I volunteer at the Asheville Humane Society and have had pets ever since I was born (fish, dogs, cats, chickens, horses, sheep, hamsters). Then at age 6 I was gifted a little Peekapoo named Buddy who just passed away on 10/17/23 at age 16.5. He meant the world to me, so when I moved away for college, I brought him with as a diabetic service dog. I love being around animals and pet-sitting gives me a chance to have them in my life. I care for all animals as if they were my own, I’ve attended puppy training classes and trained three dogs (one border collie, a blue lab, and a peekapoo). I know healthy discipline techniques, always put pets first, and love to keep the animals entertained! It’s a win win for the both of us.

Irina recently watched my dog while I went out of town for a conference. She sent me photos and kept be updated on my pup while I was away. Seeing my dog smile and run and play in all the pictures warmed my heart. I felt comfortable being away knowing that my beloved pup was in the best hands. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a sitter.

The apartment complex is gated, it’s very calm, safe, and grassy. I can take your dog on leashed walks right outside and I’m more than happy to take your dog on a daily run or to a nearby dog park (there is also a dog park at the apartment complex). I like to take the dogs there daily (unless otherwise requested) when there aren’t other dogs around. That way they can roam free and play without any worries.(:

A typical day
Whenever I pet sit, the fur babies are the priority. We start the day with a relaxed morning stroll, where there's no rush, and I let them lead the way, sniffing to their heart's content. Breakfast is served with special attention to dietary needs. As I get into my studies, your dog's right by my side, keeping me company. We break up the day with playtime in the yard or our apt’s dog-park, and I always have treats and positive vibes on hand. Afternoons are for relaxation and maybe some toys, treats, or games (depending on owners request). Evening strolls are all about winding down, followed by a lots and lots of pets. Throughout the day, your dog sets the pace, and trust and comfort are paramount. I will personalize care and love to each pet after speaking with you. Your babies will never be out of my sight and I will treat them just as I’d hope someone would treat my baby.

Availability
I am studying for my masters online through Florida International University. I am currently between jobs and focusing on academics, therefore I have a lot of time to play with your dogs and give them the care they need. I am rarely away from home, and if I am I’ll mark it ahead of time. A flexible schedule works great for me.
