Hi my name is Irene! I have lived in Colorado my whole life and love taking advantage to the outdoors. I snowboard and enjoy hiking and camping. I am a graduate from the University of Colorado Boulder. After working in the non-profit world of three years, I have decided to switch careers and am going back to school. I have just begun the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design for Fashion Design. I love being creative! I am new to Rover.com, but I have been a professional dog sitter and walker for over four years. Growing up with dogs, I have been around puppies my whole life. I am comfortable with small, large, young, and old dogs. They all have unique needs and I am comfortable with all of them except vaccinations! For the past two year I have had three consistent, return clients who have large personalities, big hearts, and fun energy (two chihuahuas and a poodle)! I love puppy cuddles and kisses and spending time just hanging out with dogs! I know that have parents away on a trip can be scary for your loved one (your puppy) so I believe in making sure that that their routine and environment is as familiar as possible. For me it is important for the dog and you to get to know me and feel comfortable with me before leaving your dog in my care. I always encourage the owner, pre-trip, to have me over and show me your house, which rooms I can use, where food, treats, toys, and leashes are kept, and for your dog to get used to my smell. It is most helpful to leave me written instructions, vet contact information, and an emergency contact so that everything goes as smoothly as possible. Please provide me all vet information, medication, grooming information, and special dietary needs for your dog. I want to make sure that their routine doesn’t change while you are away. I am not a house cleaner, but if you do have a weekly service place provide me all their information and how they interact with your dog. I enjoy being outside as much as possible. Please let me know how much outdoor time your dog enjoys as well. Do you have a backyard? If they have walking quirks, how they act on the leash, and if they enjoy hiking. Do you have a favorite dog park? How does/do your dog interact with other dogs? How are they in the car – if they enjoy hiking or have appointments (grooming or medical). What is your morning and night routine? I am comfortable with any sleep arrangement that is most familiar with your dog. I will never give them any food or treats that have not been pre-approved by you first. House sitting includes: - Watering plants - Taking in mail daily - Trash/recycling for pick-up - Poop removal (if you have a backyard)
