Ten plus years ago, I became the proud mom of a Shih-Tzu named Samantha (Sam), and my eyes were opened to the love of dogs forever. My dawgder :) is one of the most important "people" in my live. She helped me to realize the place that animals hold in our world. She made my heart so big for animals that I hurt when they hurt. Here's what makes me so dog gone good! I'm super duper responsible. My baby has a feeding schedule. She goes out to potty immediately when she gets up. Her breakfast is ready when she returns. Dinner is served at 6:00. It is ok if we veer from it occasionally, but I believe that it is important to keep her on routine. I make sure that she walks daily or goes outside for sun and play. Over the years, I have had to give Sam medicine such as ear drops, eye drops, and oral meds for allergies ( I know how to trick with cheese). We love playing "squeak" which is throwing her ball that squeaks, and she fetches it. I love just sitting on the couch and holding her, our Mommy - Dawgder time. Your baby will be my baby while I am with him/her. :)
