Animals are a gift and a blessing.

Pet care experience

It’s scary looking for a new person to care for your furry or fur-less family member when you can’t be home to care for them but I am here to help! My name is Irene but most call me Reenie. I’m very attune to read animal behaviors that are normal and not normal since I’ve cared for so many sick or recovering animals through rescue including bottle feeding kittens. I will make sure they are safe and happy during any interaction and while caring for your babies you will always be updated with a picture/video and a short summary. Please message me if you have any questions at all… I do offer a GREAT DISCOUNT for 1st time clients as I am now taking in a few more a week! if you want to know if we are a good fit then let’s arrange a meet and greet! I’m here to help as best as I am able to. About me: I’ve loved animals since I can remember. I’m working on my vet tech certification and I come from a background starting when I was 16 and volunteering at the animal shelter in Long Beach California, taking all their classes offered through SPCALA while going to school to be an Automotive Autobody Technician and then changed to an Auto Appraiser solely working to fix cars the right way with Autobody shops. After losing my service dog Cher in a car accident last year, it made me realize that I wasn’t happy and needed to come back to caring for pets so here I am as an animal advocate, animal lover and animal caretaker asking for faith and confidence that i will care for your baby as safely and loving as they deserve. I am finding my peace and healing ❤️‍🩹 with animals again. I have always fostered and volunteered while working in the auto industry. I have 20 years of pet care experience. **** Please inquire about a discount for new clients as I now before my availability closes again ••••• My purpose on this planet is to leave it better than when it got here and I do it by making animals happy, content and healthy. I strive everyday to make sure that I will be the best care taker of your pet as if my own. I am a strong willed and resilient woman that will make a difference in the lives of each soul in my lifetime. I love taking care of plants, going in hikes, visiting botanical gardens, Japanese gardens, I love outdoor activities and nature. I am looking forward and excited to share my skills and experience with your pet. I have a very extensive background in animal care and animal advocacy. My first animal was a kitten named Tiger and my first dog was my Soul dog Mishy, a Chiweenie that has forever changed my life. I lost my service animal Cher on July 5, 2022 and Cher has let me know it’s time to keep helping more animals so I’m currently fostering a Doberman that I’ve named Rodolfo aka “Roddy Rich” 😂 My background and Qualifications: * I volunteered with SPCALA in Long Beach for two years @18yrs old. * I have 18+ years of dog professional dog/cat walking and animal sitting/grooming experience gained working at Live Love Animal Petcare and rescue in LBC. The company also now offers dog training. The biggest accomplishment I have made through that company is creating lasting bonds and relationships with my client and their human… *I’ve worked at a low cost vet clinic called Ark animal hospital in LA for a year as a vet assistant and secretary. *I’ve taken classes towards getting my vet tech license and I’m still working on it. I did my internship at Long Beach Animal control. *I worked in a grooming salon in Seal beach, California as a pet groomers assistant * I volunteered throughout the entire time I worked for Live Love at adoption events, foster care intakes, taking care of our forever foster pack consisting of a veteran Malinois, a 120lb German Shepard mix, 3 rat terrier, two cats and I helped with cleaning, grooming, exercising, obedience training, pack introductions, caring for newborn puppies and bottle feeding kittens and caring for their mommas, rescue alerts. I always had to be ready to get an abandoned animal or hurt animal at any time of the day. I'm an animal advocate. I’m so passionate about animal care and welfare. I have trained my own dogs to be service animals and I can teach your dog to walk on leash and basics. My outlined work ethic schedule and expectations… *A photo/video and short little update on how my visit went. I am very capable of reading animal behaviors. I do positive reinforcement and conditioning techniques which will make for a happier baby! I love walking, running and playing with dogs. I’m pretty good at teaching cats to walk on leash and I love playing with them and exercising them! I'm looking forward to creating an awesome bond with your fur-baby. Please feel free to call me anytime if you have questions in regards to my capabilities. I've also cared for special needs animals, reptiles, birds, hedgehogs and have ample experience with animals that require special care like daily medication/injections. I have additional referrals if requested. If we make a trip to a park, beach or hike you will need to provide car safety harnesses. These trips are at no additional cost. I provide a bath for any boarding stay longer than two weeks for FREE. I have available appointments most of the time but I do need an advanced notice. I wake up depending on the boarding or dog walking clients I have and go to bed pretty late. I do yoga, ASMR, tapping techniques, eat healthy, have a calm positive and confident/strong energy. Your furry or fur-less baby brings me peace and love and would fit perfectly in my life. I am working on training difficult cases because I will not give up on any soul. I am continually growing and learning and if I don’t know the answer I will find it. I have a dog of my own that I walk at early day and night…A 65lb super emotionally intuitive Staffordshire/American Bull Terrier and a goofy, sweet Doberman puppy. I always avoid other dogs on walks to avoid an accident. I use safety carribeaners for additional safety which I can show you on meet and greet. I feed, give water, walk, play, practice patience and tricks, clean dog dishes at each visit, water plants, take out the trash for pick up, occasionally if waiver signed will make trips with other dogs that are compatible to a park or hike/beach. All needs to be planned ahead and approved by owner. UNALTERED PETS!!! ****** If you need to board an unaltered female she will need to be provided with a few cloth reusable diapers in case she goes in heat while under my care, if your pet pees in the home, you will need to provide belly bands for them/ diapers or pee pads. I usually provide a few different type of mental exercise treats and toys to help stimulate brain function for dogs with high value treats. I will have them treated the way I treat my partner/my dog by providing boundaries and directions as well as play and stimulation with exercise. They will be fed as directed by Doggos hooman and will follow my guidelines as when I worked at the petcare business in case of emergency for vet care and such.

Irene was a great dog sitter ! She sent many photos and updates of how our dogs were doing throughout the day which my family and I really appreciated :) Irene treated our dogs like her own and they came back healthy and happy. We will definitely be going back to Irene any time that we need someone to watch over our pups.

Irene was amazing with Ryder and it was the first time anyone else outside our family cared for him. She communicated with me several times a day with pictures and videos. Irene also gave me information from her vast experience to help me understand some behaviors. I cannot say enough about Irene and would recommend her to anyone. I was so nervous leaving my little boy and she made him feel right at home. Irene is a class act with dogs and her care and concern was evident from the first time we met her. We will definitely ask her to help out with Ryder again in the future!!!!

I was unsure about leaving my 4 month Yorkie with a dog sitter while I went on my two week vacation. This would have been the first time I would be away from her. My friend who regularly uses a dog sitter (Irene) highly recommended I hire Irene her dog sitter to dog sit my furry princess while on vacation. I reached out to Irene and we met virtually. I instantly felt comfortable and was amazed how knowledgeable, patient, and kind she was. Hence, I booked her right away. I knew Lola would be in great hands. I was sure proven right each day. Irene sent daily multiple updates via video/pictures. She took care of Lola like she was her very own. I can tell my lil princess was very happy and comfortable. Since I was a new dog mom, I appreciated the tips and tricks Irene shared with me along the way. I became a better dog mom because of her. I highly recommend Irene. I can’t imagine anyone having a better experience with a dog sitter.
