I love helping care for fur babies and making sure they get the enrichment in their lives they so deserve! I have loved animals my entire life, have been a wildlife biologist for 16 years, volunteered at two cat rescue centers, and have been pet sitting for 15 years for friends, friends of friends, and family. I'll treat your dog or cat with the same respect and love that I have for my own pets. Having worked as a wildlife biologist for 11 yrs, I've handled all kinds of animals. I love walking and playing with dogs, understand geriatric dog care, and have experience administering medicines and first aide. I also am knowledgeable about providing enrichment activities, and socialization training. I have helped rescue cats that were terrified of people turn into loving family pets. My schedule is open and flexible. I care for my own pets, and my roommates pets. I work online part-time so I have the flexibility to stay at your home overnight, to provide daily drop-in care, or daycare. During home stays, I maintain the schedule provided by my clients, or devise one that allows dogs to play, run, walk, or socialize, eat on a schedule, and have potty breaks. For cats, I provide enrichment activities and play time, clean litter and provide food on a schedule. I change water daily for my own pets, and for my clients. I prioritize learning the needs of each pet I care for and bonding with them so that they feel safe while their owners are away. I provide photos and updates to owners to assure them of their pets well-being. I have also cared for birds, and worked as an ornithologist, so I am highly knowledgeable about birds and bird care.
