My husband and I have been Airbnb and Turo Superhost for years. I manage 10 other properties. After over 1000 stays we realized that people with dogs were our favorites! Now we've decided that we would like to extend our welcome to Dogs on their own. We have two dogs, but they will be staying in the back of our house and typically will not see/talk to your pup.(Unless previously discussed) Safety is our absolute priority, so pets from different families are never together. (Unless discussed and NEVER unsupervised) Each pet can enjoy his or her own personal space and interact with human friends only if preferred. What to expect: Your dog will sleep in living room. Kennel trained welcome, but not required. Most parents bring their own dog bed so that's it's familiar to them, or we will provide one. Pets will have 24/7 access to fresh water, and can watch TV anytime they want. During the day they also have access to hang with at least one of us in the kitchen/great room. My husband and I sell toys on Amazon and work from home so at least one of us is here most of the day. We live across the street from a walking park, and will take your pup out up to 4 times a day (depending on pets needs). We'll offer your pup a walk at sunrise before the day heats up. We'll do a couple supervised potty breaks during the day, and then another walk when the sun goes down. We will never leave your pup outside unattended. We don't have a lot of experience with dogs with medical needs, so we may not be the best match. I am always happy to answer any questions you have. When we used Rover the first time we were so nervous, but afterwards we were so grateful for the reliable, trustworthy, loving pet sitters we found and we want to provide that care to you too! We like to get a good walk in at sunrise. We'll spend the rest of the day hanging inside the house. Your pup can choose whether to watch us work on our computers, or just lounge around on the couch. In the summer it's way too hot to be outside. We'll step outside TOGETHER to go to the bathroom a couple of times, and will take another walk around 8pm before bed. We don't like surprises. So our dogs will not meet. (Unless discussed.) No need to worry about your dog getting lonely. They have us to talk to! For the safety of everyone, we require all dogs are up to date on shots. (Honor system) Exception for puppies, but please let us know so we can keep them off grass in the park and discuss necessary precautions.
