I have had the pleasure of observing Ingrid adopt and care for a sweet poodle from a local shelter about eighteen months ago. At the time of adoption, the dog was about 14 months old, had been found wandering after the fires in Northern California, and had issues with malnourishment, surgery to remove foxtails, and other lesser issues. She brought the dog home, carefully nursed the dog back to health, and helped the dog become comfortable in new surroundings. Within several months, the puppy was healthy (gaining the weight necessary to be in the "normal range" for dogs his size), well-acclimated and very happy. She has an innate sense for animals and is able to sense when a pet is happy, or something isn't quite right. I can honestly say that Ingrid has a special affection for all animals and I would not hesitate to leave my precious "family member" in her care.
