Hi! My name is Indira, and I'm a Master's student at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. I've been a pet parent for most of my life, and have had dogs, cats, and fish in the family. I've babysat for dogs, cats, and birds, and am comfortable with all animals of all sizes. I worked as a technician in a veterinarian's office and am familiar with post-surgery pet care, senior pet-care, and moderately aggressive pets. As a once-a-day dog walker, I try to have about an hour of outside time, depending on their activity level. For younger dogs, it usually amounts to a half hour of walking and a half hour of running around and playing fetch etc. For older dogs, the last half might be just some low-key hanging out outside and getting belly rubs. If staying over in the house, I generally do a fairly long morning walk before breakfast, a short mid-day walk, a good walk before dinner and a long evening walk after dinner. Of course this is all subject to change based on your pet's normal routines and needs. If time allows, a trip to Lake Roland park or another nearby park is usually fun for your dog...and maybe a Frosty Paw afterwards at Tropicool! I love spending time with animals and I understand how hard it is to entrust the care of your pets to other people. I try my best to occupy and distract them from missing you too much and to keep to their regular routine as much as possible so as not to stress them out, and I always send you regular updates!
