Hi everyone! Due to COVID-19 things are changing constantly. During drop ins I will be wearing mask and sanitizing my hands before I enter your home and after I leave. I am a stay at home mom of 2 big kids and 1 on the way! When the big kids are at school, it is just me, baby. and my dog R2D2 (Star Wars fan!!!) lying around the house chilling, cleaning, and playing until its time to pick the big kids up from school. I have a bachelors degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Tuskegee University so I have an understanding of behaviors. I've had a dog in my home since I was 13 years old, and before that I always read books about different breeds on their behaviors and origins (who doesn't love an origin story!) to see what type of dog was best for my family at that time. I believe that dogs are not pets, they are family and need to be treated as such. If they don't seem well we should call the vet just as I would when my children get sick. The more we treat them like family the better our relationship! *Pick up/ drop off Policy* Pick up and drop off can happen between 9am-12pm and 4pm-8pm. If pups can’t be picked up in those time frames then an extra boarding charge will be added and they will have to be picked up the next day. If traveling please let me know ASAP about any possible delay so that we can make a plan. Thanks! Boarding: With having 2 kids 8 and under and having a baby under 1, having a pup that does well around children in that age group is a must. Meet and greets is a requirement not only to make sure that I am a good fit for your dog, but that you are comfortable with your pup being in my care. While in my care your pup will have access to the backyard all day (unless I’m not home) via dog door. It’s ok if they haven’t learned to use one in the past. With most, once they see my dog do it and get some coaxing treats from both sides a couple of times they get it pretty quickly. Drop in: Before starting services, we will have a meet and greet at your home or a public place so I can not only get to know your pup, but you also! This way I can know what is expected from me during my drop in time frame. School drop off is 8:05am and pick up is 3:05pm so my hours are 8:30am-2pm each day. Weekends are off so I can spend time with family. My daughter also have therapy sessions. If it turns out that she has one during one of your drop ins I will let you know ASAP. During a drop-in I will send you a notification stating that I am about to enter your home. After I enter I will check the home (common areas) for accidents or messes and clean them up. I will check food and water bowls and refill if needed. During the visit I will let your dog out and play and love him. Pictures of the drop in will be made to give you peace of mind. Before I leave, I make sure that every exterior door is locked and will notify you when I am leaving. With baby on the way, please note that I will have with me. I will be wearing her during drop ins when she gets here.
