I would like to know the general temperament of a dog towards newcomers, other dogs, while on leash and in public. If the dog is aggressive, I just need to know its triggers: food or other dogs/animals. If there are ongoing behavioral issues, I would prefer to know up front and work with the pet guardian in re-training the animal based on what’s been decided on for the dog to improve. I need to know if the dog has any allergies or diet restrictions. I would also want the dog’s veterinary contact information at hand or on display and know that’s the place of preference in case of emergency. I enjoy knowing the overall personality and energy level of any dog ahead of time, as well as get to know the pet guardians.

I’m open to play time using favorite toys, brisk walks or short jogs in the neighborhood. If a dog is going through obedience training or enjoys working for treats, I am happy to follow through with reinforcing existing training & tricks. Additionally, if a dog requires maintenance grooming such as combing/brushing — I can do that, as well. For in-home stays, I’ll make sure that the necessary clean-ups are done for any pets using pee pads or having accidents. I can negotiate if some yard duty (poop clean-ups) would be of service during my visits, as well.
