I have decades of experience with dogs and years with cats, and love them both dearly. Let me shower your beloved pets with affection and play while taking some of the weight off of your shoulders. When you need a helping hand with a mid-day walk or during a much-needed vacation, I am here to help. I also have experience with medication (including insulin shots) and am willing to look in on other types of pets in the household. Glad to discuss arrangements/fees for complicated situations if needed.

I have known Ilona for over 15 years and have rarely met anyone who puts more energy into caregiving for animals. She truly adores critters and enjoys interacting with each and every single one she encounters. She pays attention and learns what every animal prefers, how he or she likes to play, cuddle, give loves, etc. You can trust that your beloved pet will be well taken care of by Ilona.
Ilona has had pets from a very young age. Her interest has grown to such love for animals of all kinds! She has concern when they are ill and goes the extra mile to care for them. I am stating this as her father.
Ilona will care for your animals just as you would. You can trust her to give them all the love you would while you are away from home. My animals have always enjoyed having her home visits.

A typical day
When a family is away, pets need a certain amount of consistency - familiar places and scents, for instance, which is why I'm a believer in having a pet stay in his/her own home. But they also need distraction from their loneliness and worry, and this needs to be customized to the energy level and interests of the pet. This is where a good play session --chase, ball, tug, or dogpark-- can be helpful for a higher energy dog, but older, shy, or low-energy pets need interaction and distraction, too, which can be a gentle walk, supervised time spent in the yard, or even some time spent reading to them (it works!). Let's talk about what your pet needs!
