I care deeply about the wellbeing of our creature companions. I spent many years volunteering for animal shelters and animal rescue companies. Even though the work can be heartbreaking and challenging, it was such an honor and joy to assist animals in need and unite them with loving caregivers. For all the loyalty and unconditional love that dogs provide, my passion for bestowing love and care only seems natural and necessary. Fall is my favorite time of year; I love transitions and change because of how they challenge us to grow and face our fears. That’s part of what I love about caring for new pets, too: there’s a transitional period and by the end, we’ve made a new friend. I’ve always felt that anticipation for the holidays is just as meaningful and important as the payoff, and dogs help remind me to savor each moment and live in the here and now. My puppy Maya is active and friendly, and I’d love to find a playmate whose personality meshes with hers. Dogs need pals, and there’s a certain kind of companionship that is hard for humans to provide! So if our pups get along, the bonus is that your dog will get all the extra playtime and joy that Maya brings to the picture. She always brightens my day, and we’re both looking forward to making new furry friends! Maya and I used to live with four cats, so we’ve both got plenty of experience in that department, too. We live near an incredible dog park, which even has a beach just for dogs. And if our playtime gets too messy, I’ll be sure to bathe and beautify your pup before pickup.
