Pet care experience
I am more than happy to stay in your home to care for your pet(s). I do have a full-time job during the day, but am home in the evenings. Studies show that pets do better when their owners are gone if the person caring for the pet cares for them in the familiar surroundings of the pet's home. I have experience in the daily care of animals with two internships at zoos and aquariums. I currently work at the Kansas City Zoo. I have also worked at Kansas City Pet Project and have considerable dog and cat handling experience from there. I have animal training experience and would be more than happy to work with your pet if need be. I have no problem administering medications if your pet(s) need it. I will also send pictures of your pet daily!

Ida is fantastic! We opted for the in-house sitting for our 2 year old boxer-pit mix over a long weekend. Our sweet girl absolutely loved Ida and seemed to be so much more relaxed when we got home than when we did out of house boarding. She was respectful of our home and we couldn’t even tell she’d been there. She will definitely be home it go-to girl!
Ida is amazing! This was my first time using Rover and I’m so happy I did. I recently got married in Hawaii and was gone for 9 nights. My family was out of town as well and I wanted my 2 dogs to be able to stay home where they felt comfortable and safe. By the time I landed from my first flight, Ida had already sent pictures and an update. She continued to send pictures & messages throughout the trip that made it clear she really got to know my little boys. She is extremely sweet and an all around animal lover. She’s responsible and will treat your home and your furry family members like they are her own. If you want to leave your babies with someone who will make your time away stress free knowing they are in good hands, Ida is your girl! She is AWESOME!!
Ida recently watched my dogs for eight days while I was on vacation. She came to my house prior to me leaving to meet my dogs. One of my dogs normally takes quite awhile to warm up to new people and she immediately attached herself to Ida! It was apparent that she is a lover of animals. She did a fabulous job of keeping me informed of how my dogs were doing in my absence. She took them for walks, gave them their medication, let them sleep with her, and kept their routine just as I do. My dogs love her and she gives them love back! Not only that, but I came home to a super clean house and looked as though I had never left! Anytime I need someone to watch my dogs she will be the first person I call.

A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood are preferred, but if there is a local dog park and your dog is friendly with other dogs, I would be happy to bring your dog there. If your pet(s) prefer home and there is a yard or a place in the house to play tug or fetch, I will do this as well. If your pet(s) prefer to lounge and watch television or movies, I am up for that as well!
