My husband Mike and I arranged to meet Ian at an agreed-upon location near our home for a "Meet and Greet" to see how well our 85-pound, intact male American Staffordshire Terrier Mix dog Shorty liked him. Shorty liked him immediately. So, we escorted Ian to our home and went through the routine of feeding Shorty breakfast and walking him around our property. All worked out well and I booked Ian to meet Shorty's care during a weekend out-of-town. I also wrote out a "Petsitter Checklist for Shorty's Care" and put it in our shed near the place where Shorty's dog food and other supplies were to be stored. I checked with Ian 2 days before we were scheduled to go out-of-town to make sure all was well for him to take care of Shorty and Ian affirmed that he was ready to go. I was in touch with Ian every day during our trip -- sometimes before each twice-a-day visit -- to make sure everything was fine. Since Internet is a bit sketchy in our area, Ian had some trouble connecting with the Rover app, but he sent a number of photos over the course of the weekend and communicated with us about Shorty's care. We got home during Ian's last drop-in visit and it was apparent that Shorty had been well cared for, was healthy and happy! Should we ever need petsitter services again, we would definitely look first at his filling the bill.

Ian was quick to respond and helped me out with a last minute booking! I was happy to find him while I was in town and in a pinch. Foscoe came home tired and happy!
