Loving your pets like our own.

Pet care experience

Currently pet-parents to 2 dogs, my wife and I have been well acquainted with managing a small herd over the years. I also know to look after your home as well as your pets. This is my full time job, so your pets get lots of extra attention during the day when l'm staying with them. And I'm an all season walker so your puppers can count on a walk any day they can go outside. I have experience as a difficult-dog walker for animal rescues, and have worked with dogs ranging from tiny chihuahuas to massive mastiffs, and from timid rescues to bouncy high energy players. I've also kept cats, and looked after aquariums, snakes, lizards, and even a couple of horses, so I can probably help with whatever you have at home. I'm especially experienced with reactive dogs, and know the challenges you face, especially with walks. One of my own dogs is highly reactive, and working with her over the years has given me instinctive "defensive walking" skills. If that is a challenge you face, please let me help.

We were originally hesitant with the idea of essentially having a stranger take care of our fur family. The dogs limited our ability to go visit family, or take little vacations as we couldn’t leave the dogs at home, but also could not bring them with us. We have two very large rescue dogs, that come with their own unique set of ‘issues’. It is hard to trust someone in their ability to care for them and also trust that our dogs are going to behave themselves. After reading reviews we decided to meet with Ian, and have him take our dogs for a few walks. Ian has vast knowledge and expertise, it was evident he was even more qualified than us with our own animals. It took no time for our reactive and anxious dogs to adopt him as member of their family. We were updated frequently, and had photos to put our minds at ease. We are thrilled with this experience and look forward to finally having some family vacations.

Ian was an excellent dog sitter for our two dogs Charlie & Scarlett. Right off the bat we got a great first impression. When we arrived home our dogs were happy & well rested. He was professional and did a great job at keeping in touch while we were away with regular updates and photos. Our house was left neat & tidy. We will happily use Ian to watch our fur babies again!

Ian did a great job working with our dog Dora and taking care of her for an overnight while we were away. We had a meeting earlier in the week before his stay but Dora was a little more fearful/stressed than we were expecting. Ian was able to slowly build trust with Dora using his experience working with reactive dogs. We would use his services again. Thanks Ian!

Information Ian M. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed or size preferences at all. Prior to sitting a pet I would like to know some of the their background, and their regular routine. I'm here to give you peace of mind, by knowing that your little buddy is having the most stress free time they can, in their own space. Many of my clients apologize to me for the pages of notes they supply. But I love it! Anything you want to tell me will help make for a nicer stay, whether is something that they will react to, or how they ask to go out for a pee.

A typical day

I want to make sure your pooch gets as much fun as your own walks. Long walks, ball chasing, basic obedience practice - whatever you do while out I bring to their day. Are they more interested in a cuddle on the couch? I can do that too. Whatever you fur friend needs for a great staycation.
