Pet care experience
Sitting your dog is not a "side hustle" for us as it is for so many. We don't do house-sitting, drop-in visits, door dash, or drive for Uber. We just have a love for all dogs and will never leave your dog alone! We're both retired and have had dogs our whole lives and we want to treat yours as family members. Hugh is a retired Fire Captain experienced in Dog CPR, and Mary is a retired owner of an air freight forwarding company. We currently own 2 very friendly dogs that get along with others. We are very close to Snow Summit and the Village!! We'd love to have your doggie join our family!

I love how much my dog loves "Papa" Hugh and "Momma" Mary. And I love how much they love my dog. I have tried many Rover sitters, and they were all good. However, with the other sitters, Koda was never eager to enter their home. But when we pull into the driveway at Hugh's and Mary's, he bolts out of the car and races up the stairs to their front door. Then he stands at the door with his tail wagging and a big grin on his face while he wills the door to open. Koda is always eager to spend time with Hugh and Mary at his home away from home. I am grateful for Hugh and Mary.
I always get nervous with new sitters but Hugh and Mary set my mind at ease with hourly updates and photos of Lulu playing with the other dogs. They reassured me that she ate her food, and was a great addition to their doggy day care. If we go back to Bear, I’d book them again!

We have a fenced back yard with doggie doors and your pet will have run of the house, unless you desire to have your pet crated. We have a large crate if ever needed. Our home is between Snow Summit and the Village.

Please let us know if your dog has any special needs. We only accept dogs that are friendly with people and other dogs when they are off leash. Don't confuse that if your doggie displays signs of aggression while on leash between other dogs. That is very common, as is a quick growl, saying "give me a few minutes until I get to know you". We need to know your dog's dietary needs.
A typical day
Lots of back and tummy rubs are a daily staple in our home. We have a big 6' fenced back yard that all dogs love to play in. We have 2 doggie doors so your pup can go in and out as they please. Our dogs will teach them how to use them! We carve out a "doggie race track" that winds around our back yard when there's lots of snow and the doggies love it! You're welcome to bring your doggies bed, but most of our guests much prefer to sleep with us in our beds.

We are retired and one of us is always available for your dog. We will NEVER leave your dog alone! We have plenty of time on our hands and would love to care for more dogs along with ours.
