Caring, professional, and genuine animal lovers!

Pet care experience

We are both avid animal lovers with a passion for the outdoors - combining the two is a dream come true! We started professionally caring for dogs and cats back in 2021. We both adore animals of all shapes and sizes, and had always taken every opportunity to look after and care for friend's and families fur babies. In a post-COVID world, we wanted to focus on what brings us joy; being out in nature and of course, dogs and cats. We now offer small group walks, ad-hoc solo walks, drop in visits, and house sitting. I am a full-time dog walker so I do not take any new ad-hoc solo walking clients as I have group walks scheduled throughout my working day. However, I am taking new clients for group walks! For dog walking, I cover Burgess Hill and Hassocks only. For new dog walking clients, we work on recall and build up a relationship with your dog before we let it off lead or introduce them to any other dogs. This can take one walk or multiple; it depends on the dog and we will always let them set the pace. This approach is mirrored in our cat sitting service. We will never push your cat to sit with us, be stroked, or do anything it doesn't want to. Watching a cat's confidence and trust build over the course of a few days is incredibly rewarding; we always take the slow and steady approach. Dog walks are planned and tailored to your dogs' needs and requirements. We love to give the dogs variety and walk different routes daily for different stimulation and mental enrichment. We also structure walks so that there is a balance of play, sniffs, enrichment, and commands.

Megan came in for breakfast time for my cat while I was away and was absolutely wonderful! Beanie is a shy cat until she gets to know new people and Megan was very patient for the first 2 days of hissing and grump :) patience paid off though and after the first 2 days they were best of friends! Excellent updates and really appreciated the pictures. 100% recommend for anyone looking for someone to pop in on their cat whilst away!

Safety, trust & environment

We know how important it is for your pets to have reliable and consistent care, and appreciate the importance of building trust with you and your pets. We offer a free meet and greet service to all prospective clients so that you can quiz us on everything you need to know, and we can get to know you and your four-legged friends. We are both canine first aid trained, DBS checked, and have our own insurance.

Information Megan D. would like to know about your pet

We need as much information about your pet as possible so that we can tailor our care, for example, allergies, house security, is your cat shy with new people, do they like affection, how is your dog around people, other dogs, prey drive, recall, etc. as well as information on their usual routine.

A typical day

We will tailor our care to your pet. We'll always ask for your pet's usual routine and mirror that as closely as possible. For walks, our favourite places include Bedelands, Albourne Vineyard, Butcher's Wood, and depending on the dog, the South Downs. We enjoy doing mental enrichment activities as well, we have various toys (e.g. snuffle mat) we will bring to house sits and drop in visits to keep your pet entertained. For cats, if they enjoy playing, we will do that, if they prefer to have a gentle stroke, we will give them some loving, if they like to be left to it, that's fine too! Our approach is always led by the pet.
