Hi! My name's Hope. I've owned several dogs before (terriers, a golden retriever, and a lab mix) and was in Dog 4-H before I graduated, earning several blue ribbons. At the time of starting on Rover, I've house sat/cared for a dog(s) twice. One of them was for my boss at that time. Her dog would often stop eating altogether whenever she went out of town for a few days. This time it was for over a week and she was really concerned since she'd never left her dog that long. My boss was really pleased because her dog was so comfortable with me she actually continued to eat most days! Both sitting experiences where positive for both me and the dog(s). I'm comfortable with any size dog so long as they're reasonably trained and non-aggressive. I'm a strong person, but the bigger the dog, the better trained I would prefer it to be. (For dog walking please no chronic pullers.) I've also assisted a friend in the training of her service dog in the past. All around I'm just a happy go-lucky, dog person! I also love cats and could house sit for them too!
