Lovely couple with a cocker spaniel who love dogs
Pet care experience
We love taking other dogs into our household with our own dog, who is a 2 year old neutered working cocker spaniel called Gus. We treat them as though they are our own, they can play in the secure garden, make themselves at home on the sofa and we also make sure that they get enough space and rest time. We love lots of local walks which we've found on Bristol Barkers and will always make sure that they are safe and well looked after when they're with us. Holly regularly volunteered with Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary before the pandemic as a dog walker and cat cuddler. We work from home full time so can care for dogs around this, and are free in mornings, lunchtimes, evenings and weekends to take them out on local adventures. Gus is crate trained, and we ask that dogs who stay with us overnight are crate trained to so that we can provide them with a quiet space for when they need it. We don't have any children or other pets, and have a secure garden for them to play in. We would not let your dog off the long line until we trust their recall in the new environment, and we are always polite to other dogs and walkers when out and about ourselves. We only use positive reinforcement training methods and love using mealtimes as a chance for training, games or enrichment!
Reviews
I highly recommend Holly. Our young Springer Spaniel stayed with Holly, James and Gus for 5 nights boarding whilst we were away on holiday. I felt very happy with leaving her with them. Holly was very thorough with checking Coco's routine and what she was used to. Coco had a lovely time and really enjoyed playing with Gus. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Our spaniel Bella has stayed with Holly both for daycare and more recently for 4 days boarding whilst we were away on holiday. Bella always has a great time and is happy to be there, getting lots of playing with Gus, walks, cuddles and attention. We always have complete peace of mind, knowing that Bella is being taken care of as if she were Holly's own dog. Really appreciate having regular updates and photos of their fun, great communication. Would definitely recommend.
I can see Reg had such a good day, he was in very good hands and came back with a big smile. Thank you
Greet, would leave my dog with Holly again happily.

We have a totally secure garden, wouldn't let a dog off the lead until we trust it's recall and always have plenty of fresh water available.

Information Holly W. would like to know about your pet
Please let us know the following about your dog: - Key commands / hand signals that they are used to - Are they crate trained? - How would you rate their recall out of 10? - Are they on a special diet? - How do they interact with other dogs and humans? - What is their favourite activity & what is their worst habit?
A typical day
A typical day includes fun walks in our local area, including new adventures found on Bristol Barkers. We love doing some training and play in our secure garden, stimulating brains and having fun at the same time. Chill out time usually involves a chew, or some enrichment and a snooze on our rugs or the sofa. On an especially cold winters' day, the sofa duvet comes out for extra warm snuggles!
