Pet care experience
In my 20yr dog training journey I’ve competed in many dog sports, fostered for rescue, founded and head trainer for a 501c(3) dog training and sport group (Shasta Dogs), served as team trainer for Shasta County K9 Search & Rescue, and worked as staff Behavior Specialist at a large shelter in Northern CA. I now operate as New Direction K9, training and boarding.
Reviews
Holly was so great with our shepherd, gave us great insights to some of her behaviors and the sweetest videos/pics of her enjoying her stay at Hollys house!
Thanks for taking such good care of Mabel! And for accepting the last minute booking.
Holly, thank you for taking great care of Tazzy and thank you for all the pics. That one where she was sniffing the bronze dog gave me a good laugh. Tazzy definitely likes going to parks. -- Robert
Holly took a lot of care for my dog. My dog had a lot of fun in Holly’s house and backyard when we visited mt St Helen’s. And Holly took extra care even when we arrived late.

Safety, trust & environment
High-drive dogs, mouthy dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs that don't like other dogs are a great fit. Dogs who do well with other dogs may socialize with supervision. There are 5-6’ fences around the artificial turf/gravel interior yard and 3/4acre exercise yard.

Information Holly C. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any history of fence-jumping, resource-guarding, dog aggression, human aggression, separation anxiety, noise phobias, breaking out of crates, is recently adopted/unknown history, or has had any medical concerns or treatments in the past 6 months. These are not disqualifiers but knowing the details is very important to keeping your pet safe.
A typical day
Activities are focused on learning-breakthroughs, a healthy state of mind, and integration as a well-mannered canine citizen. Leash-manners, waiting at doors/gates, settle, impulse-control, crating, and good behavior are practiced here.
