Hi there! My name is Holly and I live with my husband and our 7 year old cocker spaniel border collie cross. He will sometimes have a little play, but is more of a sofa snoozer these days, and prefers a more chilled out pal to a super boisterous one. Since we decided to start doggy sitting in February 2019 we've been lucky enough to welcome over 40 different dogs into our home of all shapes, sizes, ages and breeds. We paused for a year in order to do an extension to our home, but are now able to start welcoming some 4-legged pals again. Being dog owners ourselves, we understand how tough it can be to trust a stranger with your best friend, so we'll do everything we can to put your mind at ease and will stay in contact with you regularly, sending loads of photos and videos of your dog enjoying their holiday. I allow the dogs frequent free reign of the half-acre garden for some chasing and exploring. We host up to three dogs on some days, so we may not be a good fit for dogs that don't enjoy being part of a group. We also have some chickens in a secure coop & run - we find that after some initial barking, most dogs lose interest, but we unfortunately won't be able to host a dog that is very excited by them and/or has a high prey drive. For this reason, we unfortunately can't accept a booking with a meet and greet at our property first. We also don't usually accept young adolescent dogs to keep the environment chill for our own elderly dog, but we judge this case by case depending on the temperament of the dog in question.
