I had picked Hollie to take care of my dogs for almost 2 weeks last year when I went on vacation. I needed to go on a trip for 2 days this year and I chose her again. Overall I'm happy with Hollie. Her house is very friendly for dogs and the dogs even have their own queen-size bed! She's very flexible with scheduling. I had to cancel due to a snowstorm a previous time ...
The Barkmore House was such a great place to stay for our dog, Bernie. Bernie loved playing with Saison and the rest of the dogs staying at the Barkmore house. Joe and Hollie were great with communication and let us know how well our dog was doing the whole time he was there which definitely put our mind at ease. I would highly recommend letting your pets stay with Joe and Hollie.
My dog Roxy had the BEST time with Holly! She sent so many pictures and I think our dog may have had a better vacation than us! We can't wait to use her again! Thank u!!

As a professor, currently teaching only one course online, Hollie is at home, dogsitting 24/7. Joe isn't as lucky, and he has to leave each day to run a department at a large university in Raleigh. Poor Joe. Hollie has a lot more fun!
Together, we use our 30 years of experience caring for dogs to provide quality care for both overnight and occasional doggy daycare in our home.
We offer a loving home ...
What Hollie would like to know about your dog
We love all breeds of dogs. I want to know as much as I can about the dog so I can watch for changes, and I need to know if a dog is aggressive (we cannot not accommodate aggressive dogs). Guests must be on a flea preventative, be up-to-date on their shots, including the bordetella, and have a current rabies tag with them during their stay. We have a strong preference for the intranasal bordetella vaccine and we ask our regular guests to get it every 6 months.
