I would love to care for your babies while you are away from home. Or maybe you just want your fur-baby to be taken out for some fresh air and stretch their legs while you are at work! I have been a dog lover my whole life and one of my first jobs was learning to be a groomer through the PetsMart apprenticeship. I am not a professional groomer now, I only use my skills to groom my own dogs. I have been pet-sitting for friends and family for over 15 years. I have two dogs myself: A 2 1/2 year old Standard Poodle A 9 yr old boxer mix At my home we also have chickens outdoors and a Chinchilla indoors that stays in a cage. It is NC state law that individuals cannot board an animal in a private residence without a license issued by the state. The same applies to all other Rover sitters, they are just ignorant to the fact because it is not disclosed through Rover when signing up with them. I was reported to the state by someone as “operating a boarding facility without a license” and was forced by law to “cease and desist” all boarding activities unless I have license. Otherwise it is a Class 3 misdemeanor with punishable fines up to $5000/day. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and wish that I could say otherwise.
