I am currently studying animal science and I hope to apply to vet school. Working with animals and people has always been my passion. I worked at an animal shelter for 2 years. I worked with dogs inside the kennels, out in the play yard, taken them on walks, made peanut butter Kongs for them, enforced positive behaviors. I also did a yolo county animal behavior internship which included supervising puppy play, learned about dog behavior, trained and enforced positive behaviors, explaining the process of adoption to potential adopters. I have also worked as a vet assistant for 4 years. I worked with cats and dogs. My duties included restraining animals, vaccinating, monitoring, taking dogs to potty brakes, cleaning kennels, going over procedure and estimates with owners, etc.
