Shaka Vibes Pet Service

Pet care experience

Shaka Vibes Pet Service: Providing dependable, compassionate, and experienced care to local pet families! Feline/Canine CPR/First Aid Certified. Professional experience in pet boarding for 5+ years as kennel supervisor at a face paced veterinary hospital and as a kennel technician at the Humane Society of West Michigan. I am highly experienced in administerimg medication (including insulin and SQ fluids), efficient in giving nail trims, bathing, high velocity blow-outs, and basic grooming techniques. Experience in positive reinforcement training techniques for all ages. Ability to work with aggressive, timid, and all sizes of dog breeds. Attentiveness to senior pets requiring extra care and mobility assistance. Personal experience in dog-sitting for 8+ years for multiple friends, family, coworkers, and DVMs with outstanding reference. I currently have open availability which allows me to be home often. I own a home on a quiet street in Montague, MI. We sit on an acre lot with a large backyard that is not fenced. I am a very flexible person, but I will only accept boarding to one family at a time in my home. I am a pet owner myself! I ask that dogs entering my home are non-aggressive to cats! Our yard has ample space for daily activity, but I am able to transport dogs for leashed walks/hikes!

All experience was just excellent! Hilary is very caring, thoughtful and fun person. Our dog is almost 18 years old, and we do worry about her when we have to leave. Hilary made it so much easier. We will use her service any time we go somewhere, and we have to leave our dog.

Hilary is our FAVORITE dog sitter (and we are very picky!). She has cared for our Clumber Spaniels for years, and we trust her 100%. We have left her with three week old puppies to 15 1/2 year old seniors, and she has always done a great job. Our dogs LOVE her. She has also taken wonderful care of our diabetic girl. Our only regret is that she has moved to Hawaii - but that can be your pet's gain! Roe F., DVM

My husband and I recently bought our first home in Montague! Our large yard is a perfect spot for activities, socializing, training, and relaxing. It has plenty areas of cool shade and we are only 3 miles away from Lake Michigan! Dogs are allowed to have full access to our home, but will be kenneled in a room when I am away. All dogs will remain on-leash outside and will always be under supervision. It is preferred that our dogs meet before accepting service. My Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Jetta and Manny, are fun-loving, well-mannered, socialized, and non-aggressive dogs. They LOVE making new friends, playing fetch, hiking, and snuggling. They are my shadows and often go with me on new adventures. They are also both Canine Good Citizen Certified. My DSH feline, Luna, tends to keep to herself. She loves to lounge, eat, and play with her feathered wand before bedtime. Our newest member is recently adopted from HSWM! Her name is Gitchee and she loves attention, snuggling, and playing with her fleece wand. Great with other animals, kids, and strangers. A true GEM! We live on a quiet street with little traffic which allows for relaxing neighborhood walks near Lake Michigan. We also own two vehicles which allows easy transportation to our local beaches and hiking trails. NOTE: For the safety of your pet(s) and myself, all boarding dogs will be supervised while outside my home, and will remain on-leash during outdoor activities!
