Growing up, I took care of 6 dogs of various breeds and temperaments. I would feed them, give them water, give them their needed medications, play with them, and love them. Because almost all of my childhood dogs were rescues with emotional traumas, I'm sensitive to their needs and understand that some dogs have special needs. More recently, I housesat on a farm with 4 rowdy Australian Shepards and 10 Aussie puppies. I learned how to socialize the pups so that they would grow up to trust their future owners. The adults were naughty escape risks so I understand how necessary it is to be vigilant with certain dogs.
