Loving Lucy's Dog Care: Cuddle Pros
Pet care experience
I am Helene and my best fur child was Lucy. She went over the rainbow bridge recently after being challenged with congestive hear disease. However,f I have Lucy to thank for transforming me into a passionate animal lover. So much so, that I became a Rover sitter; volunteered at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, completing all levels of animal care training and also became certified as a Vet Assistant through PBC Adult education. The house was so empty. After 3 months I knew it needed a four legged resident. On February 2, I adopted an adorable and very sweet Maltipoo named Miss Molly, who has brought a beautiful energy back into my home. I am retired with a flexible schedule so your pup will have 24/7 supervision in a safe and loving environment. In my one story house your precious pup can roam the whole house, is welcome on the furniture and can sleep wherever they prefer. I also have doggie steps for self assist or I will put them on whatever comfy place they show interest. Whether they want to play, explore or laze around, I guarantee lots of cuddles. I have made so many new friends and especially look forward to our regular clients who have made our house their second home, barking and tail wagging as they walk up my driveway. I deactivated my account for the past six months while Lucy needed special care, but now I hope the Doggie Mamas and Papas who brought their little ones will see that my house is open to them again. As I move on, I look forward with enthusiasm and excitement to reconnect with past clients and to get to know and care for many more of the pooches out there, especially YOURS!

The minute we met Helene to introduce her to our little yorkie, Niki, I knew we had found a GEM! Helene is so sweet, kind, caring, and gentle and made Niki feel right at home. We had never boarded Niki before so I was nervous but Helene sent us pictures and videos throughout the weekend that made me laugh. Helene treats her "houseguests" like they are very special and goes out of her way to make sure they are happy and comfortable. When we returned to pick Niki up, she didn't w ant to come home! I would highly recommend Helene and will surely use her again!
Helene has taken care of our two small older dogs three times. When we first met Helene we felt very comfortable leaving Mia and Rudy with her. Her home is very clean and pet friendly and she gives them the best care that we could ask for. We recommend Helene to anyone looking for dog sitting. Marty C.
We started using Helene about a year ago when we were frantically looking for a dog sitter for our fur baby, convinced that we would never find the right person who would understand that our fur baby was actually our child, not a dog. When I saw her with her Maltese, Lucy, I couldn't believe it, because my dog is a Maltese, also named Lucy. We did a Greet & Meet, and the rest was history. Now we have Big Lucy (her Maltese, because she is older) and Little Lucy (my Maltese, because she is younger). When you see these two together, you think you're in Romper Room (Doggie Kindergarten). Helene and her wonderful husband, Dave have been the best surrogate parents in the world to my child. She and Dave are the most loving, devoted, dedicated and caring people in the world. They will never treat your fur baby as a dog, but rather a child to be loved and treasured as they love and treasure their own baby, Lucy. There are simply no marks high enough to give Helene. She will care for your baby as she cares for her own.
Helene is the best!! She loves my dog like her own. I recommend her highly!!

Overly aggressive behavior or excessive barking is always a challenge. I've never had a problem that couldn't be overcome after the first 24 hour adjustment period. However, if that is your dog's nature, the fit might be questionable and that is something we would discuss at the Meet and Greet. Male dogs with a tendency to mark repeatedly in the house will not be accepted.
A typical day
My neighborhood is very dog-friendly with sidewalks on both sides of the street. We also have lots of communal grassy areas that make for good sniffing. In fact one area right behind my house is park-like with rows of big shade trees for cooler walks on hot days. Our walks are generally leisurely with time spent stopping to take in the smells that breezes bring or standing still and alert to catch a glimpse of a squirrel or a bird. Some pups like to pick up the pace and give me a good workout which is an added benefit. I cautiously leash and unleash your dog inside the house before opening any doors to prevent an escape artist from slipping out. All in all we have a fun time exploring the sights and scents of the neighborhood. Dogs who like to interact with toys or balls will love playing, shaking, running after or squeaking the toys here, or they may choose to bring some of their favorites to help with adjusting to a new environment. Some of our regulars head straight to the toy basket, knowing there's fun to be had!
