Pet parents, please complete your pet's profile and read my profile before booking. I prioritize regular clients for holidays and last-minute requests, and prefer to schedule meet & greets before booking. Between Rover, my own pets, and volunteering, I have experience caring for cats and dogs of almost all ages and administering oral and topical medications. I prioritize balanced reinforcement and structured play to provide both physical and mental stimulation. If requested, I am happy to provide additional services including basic grooming, minimal plant/aquarium/terrarium maintenance, and mail/package retrieval. I am unable to accommodate extra-large or high-energy dogs or pets with moderate to severe behavioral issues, especially aggression. Do not book if your pet has any infections that may be transmitted to myself, my other clients, or my own pets.

My priority is to give you peace of mind by keeping your pet safe and respecting their boundaries. With each card, I report how your pet has behaved and, once I get to know them, whether anything unusual (or spectacular) has happened. Usually, I try to do so in a way that is hopefully entertaining for you to read—if I'm particularly inspired, little stories or dialogue to accompany their photos. Drop-in visits for dogs include walks up to half the time of the visit, and walks for dogs include any necessary associated maintenance. If your pet make any messes, I will do my best to clean up after them with the time I have and the supplies available. Before booking, please disclose any recording devices in areas I may enter.

A typical day
Dogs in my care benefit from the structure of routines, which help reinforce good discipline. Whether they already have a favorite path (let me know!) or are new to the neighborhood, we'll develop regular routes based on their needs and environment. They can expect encouraging—but firm—guidance, before the walk even starts. Cats, fickle creatures they are, get as much playtime as they allow. I have some tricks (lasers, wands, catnip, Temptations) up my sleeve, but if they'd rather just cuddle...who am I to deny them? For the dogs and cats who crave extra attention, there is no shortage of belly rubs or ear scratches to go around!

Availability
As pet care is my main job, I typically operate between 9 am and 6 pm. I try to optimize my routes for efficiency, but sometimes need to shuffle the order of my stops. Please let me know your visit timing requirements, as appointments may run longer than scheduled and/or conflict with other requests. And pointers for car and/or bike parking are always appreciated! If you are located more than three miles away from my home, I cannot accommodate you during holidays. Otherwise, I charge $3 extra per additional mile of actual travel one way. (For example, if you are within a three mile radius but I would need to drive or cycle 3.8 miles to reach you, the price of a visit would increase by $3; if you are 4.5 miles away, the price would increase by $6, et cetera.)
