Pet care experience
Hi there! My husband Derek and I have been taking care of dogs for 5 years now. Ever since we got our little puppy we knew we were in trouble...we love dogs! But since having one full time is not enough for us, we love to have lots of 'temporary ones' as long as they can hang out with Lily our 6 year old Maltipoo, which I'm sure they will. Although we live in an apartment we have plenty of parks around to take great walks! Everyday we take two long walks around the neighborhood, early in the morning and at night. We also go out a 3rd time in between the two long walks for 10 minutes. My husband is usually gone 3 days a week but when he is home, he is there all day. As for myself, I have a very flexible job where I work only 3 days a week and can work from home if I want to. Even when I go to the office I am 10 minutes walking away from home! We own a car so we can provide transportation to a vet in case of an emergency. My husband is an airline pilot and we travel as much as we can so I know what it is to leave your dog with someone else, sometimes with people you've just met but I can assure that I will take care of your doggie as much as I do of mine. Helena and Derek were outstanding! They were my first experience using Rover and I can't say enough good things about them. They were so friendly, accommodating, and helped me feel at ease leaving my dog in their care. I will definitely have them watch my dog again the next time I go out of town. We were delighted to have Helena and Derek as dog sitters. From the first contact we had a good feeling. Communication was great and Olivia even made a new BFF with their dog. I received pictures which helped us feel at ease with Olivia's stay. She was well loved and cared for. We will certainly like to keep her at their place again, next time we go on vacation.
