I am a full-time animal carer, so it is easy for me to adhere to the needs of any animal in my care. ☺️❤️ Regarding house-sitting and boarding, I am available most nights, which can be agreed in advance between us.

For boarding, I live in a one-bedroom cabin which has a relatively large fenced garden for your furry friend to sniff around in. The cabin has a log burner, which makes it extra cosy! (Dogs often curl up in front of it which is very cute). The first few photos of my gallery shows my garden and cabin ☺️ I will care for your pet/s as per their specific needs (e.g, walking/rest routine, preferences for contact, medication plans), which can be confirmed in advance of the booking. Two very friendly and quiet female greyhounds live on the same grounds that I do, but they do not live in my cabin and do not come into contact with the animals I care for. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions and/or would like to see how I can assist the needs of your pup!

I usually confirm your dogs requirements in advance of the booking via telephone or text, depending on your preference. For example, is your dog house trained? Lead trained? Comfortable with children?. These questions help me to ensure your dogs safety and comfort. I am happy to care for any ‘type’ of dog, such as ‘easy-going’ dogs, as well as dogs who require extra attention and training.
A typical day
Doggy activities are of course dependent on the pups personality, but typically include playing with toys, cuddling on the sofa and going for fun walks in my local woodland (e.g, Trentham Woods; Barlaston Downs). Preferable activities can be confirmed in advance of the booking to ensure your pup has the best stay possible! ☺️

Pet care experience
Hi there! I am Helena, and I have taken care of animals all my life (e.g, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, hedgehogs, chickens, etc). I have taken care of various breeds of dogs/cats, which has taught me how to handle different temperaments of all ages. Thus, I have experience with calm dogs, as well as dogs who require extra patience and training. Importantly, I have an ability to ‘read’ dogs, and know when they would like a fuss or if they’d prefer some quiet time. I have experience in housing, walking, bathing dogs - and responding quickly and calmly when animals require medical assistance (including times where I have rehabilitated hedgehogs and birds!). Due to my experience with senior dogs, I am familiar with adhering to a medication schedule. I am a very physically active person, but I can walk for any time required by your pet/s. In my photo gallery you will see examples of some of the animals I continue to care for when required. The first few photos are where I live to show where your pet will be staying ☺️

Helena met us at the car as we arrived and had Vela sat beside her as we pulled up to pick her up. She made the handovers very straightforward, and Vela was very calm and content on both occasions. :-)
