Hi, I'm Nellie (she/her)! Outside my job as a research assistant at CHOP, I have been caring for cats and dogs through Rover part time since I moved to the city in 2021. Among others, I have experience caring for reactive dogs, large dogs, and pets who take medications, including subcutaneous injections. It might come as no surprise that I absolutely adore animals. Since falling in love with my family pets as a kid, I have sought out any opportunity I can to care for other people's pets. I recently adopted a cat of my own but am still equally a cat and dog person.

Nellie was wonderful with our pup, Boh! She took the time to get to know him and get comfortable with him, and she took great care of him while we were away! We’d love to have her watch him again. She was also a great guest and left our apartment in perfect shape!

Every pet is different, so I like to ask a lot of questions when we meet to make sure I fully understand what you and your pet need. Especially for dogs who are reactive or dog aggressive, I make sure to follow all your instructions to keep your dog safe on walks. Playing and snuggling with your pets is so important to me because I know that making sure the basic needs are met is only part of the equation for a safe and happy pet, especially when their parent isn't around!

A typical day

I work at CHOP from around 8 to 5 on weekdays, so am generally available after 5 pm for drop in/walks! On weekends, I can accommodate any times.
