Pet care experience
I am a lifelong dog owner and lover - our most recent dog until we moved was a miniature poodle rescue. I love to play with dogs and give them the attention they crave and deserve. I know breed traits and am able to "read" the dog's needs well. I have taken care of friends' dogs of varying breeds and have a knack for forming bonds with them quickly. These dogs are always happy to see me when I visit because they know they will get special "scratches" and happy play and walks in the neighborhood. I am self-employed out of the home as a music publisher and I do occasionally travel to visit family and so I am happy to work with you and your dog(s) with sufficient notice!

I would definitely wish to meet you and your dog at least once, maybe twice, on a "trial basis" prior to first assignments to get to know you and your dog more in depth, including leash behavior, and feeding habits, and so your dog becomes familiar and comfortable with me approaching and coming inside your home.
A typical day
I love to check out neighborhood parks and walking paths, and, of course, since we are near the beach/oceanfront, possible beach walks. Play time would utilize the dog's favorite toys - lots of catch and return of toys, plus review and continuing "ed" (training) of basic dog behavior "skills" - sit, down, presenting paws (shake), quiet ("shhh!") and "speak" (bark).
