Pet care experience
I have grown up with different breeds of dogs all of my life. My family has owned 5 American Staffordshire breeds and 2small terrier breeds, while growing up. I volunteer once a month at Mighty Mutts, a no kill animal shelter. I spend time with the pups and try to get NYC residents to adopt them. I love dogs and haven't yet been able to own one since moving to New York. Working with Rover and volunteering will help me spread my love for doggies and help give me the push of owning a dog. I currently am working from home. My home is a 2bdrm apt in Bushwick. I live with my partner. We both love dogs and are excited about having pup(s) stay with us for any amount of time.

Helen was a super super great, highly recommended sitter. My pup isn’t the easiest to walk because she’s scared of trucks and Helen was just kind, patient and put me at ease when I was looking for a last minute sitter at thanksgiving. I hope to have her sit again and I highly recommend her!
Helen is amazing! She is truly compassionate and understanding of dogs. Maximus loves her. She is patient and kind. We will definitely be using Helen again!
Helen was flexible and very accommodating. My pup clearly enjoyed her stay as she now lingers by Helen's apartment every time we pass by on a walk. I have no concerns at all about Helen as a sitter, and hope to book her again in the future!
Would highly recommend and definitely book again. I was able to book last minute and then extend the stay last minute as well. She sent daily updates with how my dog was doing which was great. I felt totally comfortable leaving my dog with her.

A typical day
There is a doggy park (Maria Hernandez) right around the corner from where I live. If we don't go to the doggy park we can go for long walks around my neighborhood. If the dog is energetic, we can go out for a run around the neighborhood or a track field which is nearby. We can also hang out at a park or play fetch and get some outdoor breeze. We can hang inside and play some games too.
