Safety, trust & environment
There are hedges around our garden and it is large enough for a dog to run around and play with a ball. There is a wet room just inside the back door suitable to wash down a dog after a muddy walk. We live in a small village surrounded by countryside with many walks across fields and through woods, so no need to drive first.

Information Helen D. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog is friendly to other dogs when on or off the lead, when your dog is off the lead does he always return when called. Is there anything in particular that spooks your dog in or out of the house likely to make him panic. Does your dog have any medical or special dietary needs.
A typical day
I am happy to play with your dog using a ball or stick in the back garden and soft toys in the house. We will walk across fields and through woods locally as well as through the country lanes sometimes stopping to chat with neighbours/other villagers walking their dogs.
Location
Ellisfield, United Kingdom
Countryside location, lovely country walks
Pet care experience
I have taken care of various dogs over the last 2-3 years whilst their owners are away. Most of which have boarded at my home. Since recently retiring, I am able to provide more frequent playful interaction, country walks plus plenty of love and attention with fewer interruptions.
Cat care experience

Helen also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

Helen is such a lovely lady. She looked after my dog at short notice over Christmas and I would most definitely use her again and recommend her services. She was just so lovely with my dog. Sending updates and pics. Taking him for long walks and allowing him to be part of her family. Highly recommend - 5*****
Helen D. has cared for my dog Riley, a Golden Doodle, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she’s provided. She treats Riley as if she were her own, always showing her so much love, patience, and attention. I’ve always felt completely confident leaving Riley with Helen because I know her safety, comfort, and happiness come first. She’s reliable, keeps me updated, and genuinely goes above and beyond. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Helen to anyone looking for safe, loving care for their dog.
Helen was absolutely wonderful with my pooch Lulu! Lulu was made to feel at home the moment she walked through the door. Lots of belly rubs, and patience as she had a good sniff around. Lulu was walked regularly, fed at her usual times, and was well looked after. I highly recommend anyone who needs a dog sitter to consider this wonderful home from home. I know i will be sending Lulu to Helen in the future!
Helen has been absolutely wonderful with our dog Winnie who absolutely adores her. Winnie is quite a nervous dog but Helen has looked after her expertly with fantastic walks, lots of love and treats and showered with attention. I suspect Winnie often doesn’t want to come home after a stay with Helen as she is always so happy staying over. I would thoroughly recommend Helen!
