Pet care experience
I'm a travel nurse who's been lucky enough to have pets my entire life. Recently my last 18 year old cat (who loved to travel with me) has passed away and I've decided to wait until I'm finished traveling to get new pets. But meanwhile I've become a bit desperate for interaction with animals, so you'd be doing me a few huge favor if you let me hang out with your fur-baby. :-) I've taken care of cats in varying states of health for my entire life. I'm comfortable with grooming, complicated feeding situations, pills, and with my 8 years of nursing experience I'm also comfortable giving injections. I could play with cats for hours and hours and not get bored! I have a bit less experience with dogs but love them also! I had a dog growing up, lived with a roommate with a dog for a few years and shared those responsibilities, and have a few family members with dogs. I can walk small or medium size dogs and love to play and snuggle. Since I have minimal experience with training and discipline I would prefer to work only with calm well-behaved dogs. :-)

Heidi is an knowledgeable and compassionate pet parent with around 20 years experience caring for animals. She has cared for my pets' complicated medical needs while I have been traveling, as well as their complex prescription food and supplement requirements. She is a nurse with plenty of experience administering medications, so I have always felt safe entrusting her with my kitties' care. Beyond her technical skills, she takes the time to spend quality time with my kitties while I'm away, snuggling them and playing with them and spending lots of quality time with them to ensure they're not lonely and to give me peace of mind. She also frequently updates me with pictures, videos, and text updates about my pets' status, which also grants me enormous peace of mind. I highly recommend Heidi for your pet sitting needs!
Heidi is an outstanding pet mom. She had her kitty,Mr. poof for 18 years. Unfortunately, he became very ill and she had to put him down and she took it very hard and was heartbroken. She has had other pets and is extremely loving and caring and gentle. She constantly sits with them on her lap and pets them and she’s very gentle and snuggles them all the time. Heidi truly loves animals and would be a wonderful pet sitter. She’s also a nurse and has the bedside manner of a nurse, loving and caring. Whenever I would go away, she would take care of my kitty cat. Every time we’re at someone’s home that has a pet they always gravitate towards her. Highly recommend her for taking care of your beloved fur babies.❤️😊
Heidi is very responsible and trustworthy, and loves animals. Heidi has excellent communication and will be on time. Heidi always pays special attention to my cats and dog when she comes to my house.
Heidi is a caring animal lover! She grew up with pets and has cared for her own two cats well into old age. She spends her days caring for humans as a nurse. As a pet caregiver I have no doubt she will provide all the love and attention the owners would expect.

I know it can feel a bit awkward to have strangers in your house for pet sitting... when I hired pet sitter for my pets I always had a nanny cam going to keep an eye on things. So I totally understand the owner wanting that sort of peace of mind. As long as instructions are clear with entering and exiting the building (I'll want to practice with keys in advance, etc to make sure I know how to lock up correctly) I think we'll be good! Aside from security of the home, I'm calm and compassionate with animals and love to play and snuggle. I'll be happy to send pics of our adventures together since I remember I loved receiving pics of the sitters playing with my pets in the past. I can't wait to meet your fur-babies!

Since I have less experience with dogs in general, and minimal experience with discipline or special needs, please know that I only feel comfortable working with relatively calm and well-behaved dogs at this time.
A typical day
I love to take walks myself so walking with dogs will be great! We would explore different areas of the neighborhood and take plenty of time to smell the flowers. Or bark at the squirrels if that's what your dog prefers!

Availability
I work three 12-hour days and will be completely available the other four. Unfortunately my schedule is variable so I never know which 4 days I'm available.. just shoot me a message and we'll see what happens. And I will update my schedule on the app as I get it. I'm a morning person and go to sleep early so I'd probably only take appointments until 6 or 7 pm.
