Pet care experience
**** WE ARE NOW ONLY ACCEPTING REPEAT CLIENTS*** IF YOU ARE A REPEAT CLIENT AND HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME REBOOKING, JUST SEND US A MESSAGE! We love dogs and know how important it is to find a safe and loving place for them when they cannot be with you. We are a smoke free home. We have one older child (10 years) who is great with dogs and a Treeing Walker Coonhound and Rottweiler who are good with most dogs of all sizes and breeds. You might be thinking "How do they live in an apartment with two big dogs?" We are devoted to keeping our boys busy so... While you're away your dog will enjoy trips to the dog park and daily walk, engaging play activities, socialization with our sweet pups, and lots of snuggle time. We will provide you with daily updates about your dog and include pictures of all the fun they are having. Our goal is to provide your dog a loving environment which allows for lots of play in a safe and positive atmosphere. Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up I had two loving dogs - a Yellow Lab and German Shepherd - who were considered valuable members of our family. My first dog as an adult was a wonderful Black Lab/Beagle mix. I learned a lot about dog training and care while I had her. Several years after my beloved dog's passing, we adopted an eight week old pup! He is the sweetest, naughtiest, most loving boy ever and is always looking for new friends! Our backyard is not fenced in. We have a long line that allows for our dog to go potty. However, all dogs in our care receive their exercise from daily trips to the dog park as well as one 20-30 minute walk in the evening. Our daily dog park trips usually last 1-2 hours depending on your dogs energy level. We are willing to make accommodations for dogs with medical ailments or conditions and are comfortable administering medications.
Reviews
Charlie was well cared for with Heidi. I would recommend her to anyone who is nervous about leaving their dog for a few days. Charlie had lots of walks, attention, and stimulation. The photos she sent of charlie gave us piece of mind and became something that we looked forward to every day on our trip.
1 happy hound!!
Always a great experience - for us and the dog! Crash looks forward to his "vacations" with Heidi!

Information Heidi P. would like to know about your pet
I do not have a breed preference, but require all dogs to be well socialized with both children and other dogs. If I were to sit for your dog, there are a few essential questions I would ask: 1. What type of socialization - with both people and other dogs - does your dog receive and how often? 2. Does your dog have any "quirks" in regards to other dogs or people? 3. Is your dog toy possessive or food aggressive? 4. How active is your dog? What type of exercise does your dog normally receive? 5. How much does your dog bark? Living in an apartment, it is out of courtesy to our neighbors to keep our canine friend's barking to a minimal amount. A dog who barks incessantly might not be a good match for us. 6. Does your dog experience separation anxiety when left alone?
A typical day
We live in a lovely neighborhood where your dog will enjoy trotting down our beautiful sidewalks watching the squirrels and birds pass by. We also have relationships with several of our neighbors who love to share their fenced in yards with us. Your dog will have the choice of sleeping wherever it wants! If your dog needs to be kenneled at night or you have specific sleeping requirements for your pooch, that can be accommodated too. Your dog will receive hours of one on one attention and love everyday in addition to exercise, play, and socialization with other dogs and people.
