I am a devoted follower of Dog! Literally, behind them on the other end of a leash... ;-) And a believer in the important role a dog plays in the lives of humans; therefore, it is has been my calling to care for these divine family members while you are away at work or on a trip. I am pretty much a full-time dog walker/pet sitter in N. Raleigh who contracts through one of the local services, as well as independently through Rover. I am PET CPR & FIRST AID trained and certified as an assurance to you, and me, that your pet gets not only the attention and routine care they need on their daily visits but also get the necessary care they may need in case of an emergency. While I have many different dog walking hats (its become a fun and growing collection), I also wear the hat of independent graphic designer and spend my early mornings/evenings working on design projects, but, I have to say the time I spend hanging with dogs (and cats) is the most fulfilling part of my day! You simply cannot be unhappy around dogs who greet you like that haven't seen you in forever, when really it was only yesterday! :-D This rewarding experience is kinda a given but the unexpected surprise has been the incredible satisfaction I feel helping my clients achieve peace of mind regarding their family pets! As the mother of two pooches, I know the relief of knowing your fur family are in good hands. Among the other rewards of serving my clients is how many have expressed great appreciation for the attention I give to their animals in getting to know them—from understanding their pet's "norm" to when they may be exhibiting behaviour that could indicate an ailment or the introduction of a stressor. Details that might be missed at a doggie daycare facility or a boarding kennel. As well, I've also been blessed with appreciation for the attention I give to the lives and property of the owners of my wards—from noticing something out of the norm in the home such as garage was door left open or a security system not engaged when I arrived, to bringing in trash bins from the curb or packages left on the front stoop... anything that I see can aid them in their life, or their animal's life, during their absence while on commitments outside the home.
