Pet care experience
My calm, gentle demeanor with animals is able to get even the most timid animal to come out of their shell. I love all animals and often joke that if not for my husband I would have an entire farm's worth in our home right now. Lol I've been a dog mama for years, and while we don't currently have any dogs living in our home, my parents have two Yorkies whom I take care of all the time when they're out of town. I've been watching pups my entire adult life and truly love it. I used to do daycare out of my home when my boys were younger, but then I went from watching 2 legged babes to 4 legged babes. :)

Heather was great! Bigsby felt totally comfortable with her from the start and seemed very happy when we picked him up. She was communicative and kind and sent photos every day we were away.

Heather has watched our dog several times and she has been amazing. She also picked up and dropped off our dog, which was really helpful.

We have a fenced in backyard although I don’t use it often. I like taking my little buddies for walks as it helps me get my exercise in too. If I’m caring for a dog that’s at their own home, I’ll do whatever the owner does. If they use their yard, then that’s what I’ll do. If they go for walks, then do will I!

No real preference on breed, however, I'd prefer to not watch any aggressive dogs as we have two cats and two children (13 and 15). The dog will need to get along well with children, but the cats I don't worry too much about because they tend to hide when we have guests over (2 or 4 legged guests, lol). I will need to know if the dog has any sort of allergy, food aversions, or if there are any medical conditions I need to be aware of before I can care for your pup. :)
A typical day
We live within walking distance of the W&OD Bike Trail and walk/run on it often, so we would definitely be taking walks on the bike trail. Living this close to the bike trail also means we are just minutes away from downtown Herndon, so our walks would include walking in to town and "people watching". :) We've been taking family walks lately in the evening and are very excited to add a few new friends to our evening walks!

Availability
I currently work from home, so I’m able to take as many breaks as are necessary to walk the dogs I’m watching and to play with them. The rest of the time I love cuddling with my little clients while I’m working!
