Pet care experience
I absolutely love dogs. I'm currently a speech therapist, and as of right now, I have availability some weekdays and occasionally weekends. I own a Catahoula mix - he loves to play with MOST dogs but does not get along with ALL dogs, so we'd have to do a meet and greet first. I have been a dog shelter volunteer for about 6 years in Washington and California. I have over 300 volunteer hours of experience, and many more years of experience with family dogs as I grew up. As a volunteer, I'm experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, as well as with behavioral principles (particularly positive reinforcement). I will run with your dog, take them hiking or to the dog park, or just lounge around (if that's what they want to do!) I'd absolutely love to take care of your dog!

Heather loves dogs more than any other human I’ve ever met. I would like to know any pertinent behavioral characteristics or idiosyncrasies, so that I can avoid or control for certain situations. For instance, if your dog gets frightened of cars or strangers, that would be great to know. If your dog doesn't do great off-leash at dog parks. If your dog occasionally has potty accidents. And I prefer absolutely any breed!
A typical day
Depending on what you and your dog would prefer, I'd love to go to dog parks, play fetch, go hiking, or just walking around the neighborhood!
