Pet care experience
Five years ago I decided to leave my corporate management job to pursue a life that would allow more time to focus on my passion for animals. Since then I've opened up my home to more than 150 homeless animals through my foster volunteer work with Homeward Pet in Woodinville & Seattle Area Feline Rescue (SAFE) in Shoreline. I've experienced so much joy providing a safe, loving, temporary home to my foster pets that I thought I should further share my love and compassion for animals by offering my pet care/boarding services to my local community. I know what it's like to be a pet owner and wrestle with the anxiety of what to do with your beloved, 4 legged family members while at work or on vacation. I'm pretty sure there are a number of vacations I cut short or didn't go on at all because of my pets. So I want to help change/alleviate those feelings for others by offering dog walking, home visits or an incredible, loving, home away from home for your pet while you work or enjoy a much-deserved vacation.

Heather was great with our dogs while we were away for the weekend. We received lots of smiling photos and it was so much better to have them stay at home instead of taking them to a kennel. She was very thorough in asking questions and being prepared to make sure the visits went well.
Heather is so wonderful! She was flexible and gave my kitties lots of love. We got photos and videos the whole week they stayed with her and I could tell they were really happy there. And my cats definitely take a long time to warm up to people. I will definitely, 100% use her again if she's available!
Heather was great with Tommy. I could tell at drop off he was going to love it there. She has the perfect house for pets - there was plenty of space for his own area if needed plus a very large yard with a dog run! Heather and her family seemed very attentive to Tommy and I could tell I left Tommy in a pet loving home. Tommy is older with a handful of special needs and she took on everything with ease. Would recommend and use Heather again next time I'm out of town. Thanks!
Heather and her family were great! I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her. She was flexible with drop off and pick up times; always East to get a hold of. Heather sent updates and pictures everyday so I could see how my pup was doing. She is very experienced and knowledgeable about animals so I felt good about his care. This was the first time I’d left my dog with someone other than my own family and was feeling kind of nervous. Heather was great about treating my dog like one of her own. It felt really good to leave my dog with her family, who would care for him in their home and not in a kennel that might feel like the animal shelter he came from. I would highly recommend Heather to anyone looking for animal care. ?

I have a large, fully fenced back yard that provides lots of room to run and play. Additionally my home has 3 levels so lots of room to separate guest pets from resident pets if need be.

Information Heather T. would like to know about your pet
I would love to get a general sense of your dog's likes, dislikes and any triggers he or she may have in or outside your home. It's really imperative for me to know as much as I can about your furry family member(s) so that while he/she is in my care they feel at ease and at home. All animals that come to my home must be up to date on their vaccinations as I foster for a couple local shelters in the area and they require that all pets in my home are vaccinated. A copy of your pet's vaccination records would be ideal.
A typical day
While in my care your dog will enjoy the run of a large 3 story home and large backyard to roam. I will always have dog toys and dog treats on hand for play and rewards. I live in a nice sheltered neighborhood, at the end of the cul de sac which will make for nice, safe and frequent, shorter walks. I am also able to take your dog to a number of different local parks and trails near me for longer walks.

Availability
I am a stay-at-home parent so have fairly flexible hours to care for guest pets in my home. I have a larger than average pride of resident cats in my home so pet care is already very much engrained into my schedule from the time I get up to just before I go to bed.
