Hi, I’m Heather. I’m an animal enthusiast and passionate pet sitter. I have never been a cubicle/office type of girl. I'd rather be outside playing with pups! I began working with dogs professionally in June, 2015. I started as a dog walker which eventually led to boarding dogs in my home as well. I've worked with pooches of all sizes and breeds, ranging from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. The breeds I've worked with the most have been Pugs, Beagles, Yorkies, Schnauzers, Huskies, Labradors, Cocker Spaniels, Shetland Sheepdogs, and Chihuahuas. I would love to foster dogs too, but fear I might want to adopt every single one and become the “crazy dog lady”! While I care for your furry friend, they will stay with me, my roommate/best friend, my Chihuahua, and my four parakeets. My roommate has also been been walking dogs her whole life and did some volunteer work at an animal shelter when she was living in Oregon. She is very comfortable with dogs and loves them just as much as I do! My Chihuahua is more comfortable with smaller dogs than larger ones, but after a good sniff, he is usually fine with our four-legged guests. If a dog I’m caring for shows any aggressive tendencies towards the birds, they would simply be moved to another room. I’m a friendly, creative, and loving person and take pride in creating a warm and hospitable environment for all my furry visitors. I believe that developing a good relationship is key. As a pet sitter, I provide excellent communication to my clients and plenty of TLC to the dogs. This is the recipe for not just a successful pet sitting experience, but also a great relationship to carry on into the future. I’ve been living in Los Angeles since 2006, originally hailing from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. I'm a big Disney fan, and if I could visit Disneyland every day, I would. While I don't mind a plane flight, I love a good old-fashioned road trip and have visited 36 states! I'm a total girly-girl and fall into that stereotype of loving makeup, shopping, and the color pink. I also cherish good, deep conversations with friends over coffee.
