Pet care experience
Looking for someone to watch your fuzzy kids while away from home? Look no further! I'm responsible, accommodating and animals love me as much as I love them. ...About Me... I grew up with an assortment of pets and animals have always been a part of my life. I currently have 4 dogs, 5 cats, two horses, two donkeys and a ball python, all adopted from Spokane rescues. I volunteer with several local animal rescues by fostering puppies and feral kittens. I have also worked with horses, goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys and cows. I do have a full time job and while it pays the bills, it's not animal related and therefore not my real passion. Rover.com helps me endure the 9-5 life. :) ...My Experience... I am fortunate because working in rescue has allowed me to experience a lot of dog breeds. I've worked with large dogs (St. Bernard, Great Dane, Newfie, Doberman, Husky's, Labradors, Borzoi etc.) and the little ones (Pug, Boston, Chihuahua, Dachshund, etc.), as well as seniors and puppies of every size. I'm a huge cat lover and am comfortable with fish, rabbits, rats, snakes, lizards, birds, ferrets and more. One caveat: No spiders. >>shudder<< Never spiders. ...What I do... Good news. You got options. Option one: I stay overnight in your home, where your pets are most comfortable. I'll do my best to stick to their routine and give them plenty of exercise, play and snuggle time. I don't even mind sleeping on the couch. While I'm there I'll make myself useful by bringing in your mail, watering your plants or taking your trash cans in/out. Depending on the season, I'm open to shoveling snow but that depends on how cute your pet is. Ok, I confess. They're all that cute. This option is $40 a night. Option two: If your pets don't require someone to be with them all night, I can drop by your home as needed throughout the day for potty breaks, walks, play time, etc. This option is $20 per visit. Visits last 30 - 60 min and vary depending on your pets needs. I am fortunate enough to work from home so if your home has decent WIFI, I can bring my laptop and be with your pet during the day. If he/she has special or specific needs, let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate them. When it comes to pet sitting, my end goal is always the same: Do whatever I can so that your pets do not miss you so much while you're out of town. I'm afraid I can't guarantee you won't miss them. ...Reviews... Many of my reviews are not Verified Stays because I was a pet sitter for many years and did not use Rover. When I moved to Washington, my former clients were kind enough to take the time to write reviews about my time with their pets. I am also fortunate enough to be referred by my local vet's office and through word of mouth.

Heather is awesome and our dogs love her!
Heather has cared for my two lab mixes, Lola and Daisy.....and my cat, Punk several times. They all LOVE her. My dog, Daisy, actually whimpers when she leaves. I think my dogs love Heather more than me. This should bother me, but I think it is great. I leave knowing that I have nothing to worry about. I know they will be well cared for, she plays with them and they will be tired and content when I come home. I like that Heather always sends me photos of each fur kid while I am away. .....and I swear my house is cleaner when I come home, than when I left.
Heather is an extremely experienced animal caregiver, not only for cats and dogs but all manner of animal from chickens to cows and horses and then some. She is always on time, considers and takes care of every last detail and is committed to providing the best care for any and all animals. She has stepped in to watch over my fur crew on multiple occasions and the process has been seamless. She spent quality time with them, took care of all of their needs and even sent pictures of them and kept me updated on their activity and just took all around exceptional care of my pets as if they were her own. Myself and my pets highly highly recommend Heather for any of your pet care needs!
Being new to the Five Mile area & finding the right fit for a pet sitter was a bit daunting until I met Heather. She is very personable and professional & trustworthy. She will set up an initial appt to meet you and your pet and get all the information to provide the best care. I have used her for over a year when we plan to be out of town for more than overnite. She is very flexible, always texts and sends cute photo or video of her visit & will come by as often as needed, which gives me reassurance that all is well. Believe me...you don't need to fret.... your pet will be in the best hands possible!
