Hello! My name is Heather, and I am a 28 year old lawyer in DC but currently living in the Court House area of Arlington. My fiancé and I have a very friendly Shiba Inu named Taro (as seen in my picture), but since my fiancé is in Colorado due to work, Taro and I have plenty of extra space and would love to have your fur baby stay at our place on weekends! Guaranteed to receive lots of attention and love! I work full time during the week, so I will dedicate my entire weekend to your pooch. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your fur baby with a complete stranger, so I will do my best to ease your worries with daily updates and pictures/videos! Otherwise, I am very flexible with any specific requests. Hope to meet you and your dog!

Heather has completely exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond what we were expecting. She was extremely accommodating and took in our puppy as though he were her own. She dedicated her entire weekend to make sure that our puppy received the right amount of exercise, food, and even training. Heather is extremely caring and thoughtful and took the time to give us tips and tricks about raising a Shiba Inu puppy. I have known Heather for about 28 years. We got our very first dogs together nine years ago, and since then, I have watched Heather blossom not only into an incredible human being, but into an incredible dog mother. Many people are dog owners, but not all possess the empathetic, loving heart of an owner who loves their dog more than themselves, who always puts their dog first, and who loves dogs that aren't their own simply because they understand the heart of a parent. Trusting a stranger with your beloved family member seems near impossible, but I have never met a dog that didn't love Heather upon meeting her like they've known her for a lifetime. Heather will make an amazing sitter because with her, your dog will never be "just a dog" -- they will be family.
I've known Heather for nearly 15 years and she has always been an enthusiastic animal lover. She always goes above and beyond for dogs. Not only does have the compassion but she also has great work ethic. As a parent to a dog with lots of anxiety, she is one of the few I trust my dog with. She has the instinct that is needed to care for our vulnerable fur babies who can't tell us their needs in words. I highly recommend Heather!!!
